Presently, there are eight elementary schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools and a continuation high school. At build-out, the district plan includes eleven elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools and Duncan-Russell high, which is a continuation high school.

Tracy School District has placed approximately 96% students within their neighborhood schools. This has been accomplished by consistently implementing the District's student assignment policy giving priority to those students living within the school attendance area.
